L&WV Railway’s 2008 Halloween Train & Haunted Hobo Path

 

Come join us for a Halloween excursion.  Our train, powered by an E8-A diesel locomotive stops at a nearby woods, where passengers can walk a haunted hobo path. Survivors, upon reaching our bonfire, can toast their good fortune with cider. Participants should wear shoes suitable for walking on uneven terrain of cinders and gravel. Costumes are optional, but no flashlights are allowed.  The trip takes approximately one hour and departs from our depot at 46485 State Route 18, one mile west of downtown Wellington.

 

Dates: Fridays, Oct. 17th, 24th    Saturdays, Oct. 18th, 25th

Times: 8:00 P.M. & 9:15 P.M.  

Fares: $12 Adults,   $10 Children under 12

 

Halloween tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at our Wellington Station after September 1, 2006 on Saturdays, and Sundays from 11:30am to 2:30pm.  Cash, Visa & MasterCard accepted. Not recommended for children under 3 years old.

The L&WV Railway’s 2008 Fall Foliage Trips

Come join us for a Fall Foliage excursion on the L&WV Railway between Wellington and Pittsfield, Ohio.  Our restored coaches offer a clear comfortable view of fall colors along the rural countryside of southern Lorain County.  The trip is approximately 12 miles and takes about an hour.  The train departs from our depot at 46485 State Route 18, one mile west of downtown Wellington, at 1:30 pm every Saturday and Sunday through October, 2008.  Fares are $12 for Adults and $10 for children under 12 years of age, lap held infants under 2 yrs old are free - no reservations are required.  See our web page for more information:  www.lakeshorerailway.org.
